Happy Thanksgiving!

Gratitude is wine for the soul. Go on. Get drunk.~Rumi

If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you, it will be enough.~Meister Eckhart

Thanksgiving–with thanks built right into the word–

is a great time for a gratitude check. Did you know that gratitude is actually good for you? In fact, according to Psychology Today, the practice of gratitude has scientifically proven benefits including more and closer relationships, better physical health and sleep, improved psychological health, enhanced empathy and reduced aggression, greater self-esteem, and increased mental strength.

It appears that practicing gratitude is a win-win proposition.

It’s been a great year in logistics, and a pretty good year all around.  Here at AM Transport, we have a lot to be thankful for. A great office space to work in, the best people in the business to work with, lots of beards, a super community, good times together, and fantastic customers and carriers.

In honor of all we have, we asked our team members what they’re grateful for. What we found out, is that often we’re most thankful for the small things in our lives. Because those small things–a smile from a child, a good joke from a customer, a delicious Saturday breakfast–are the building blocks that enrich our lives.

Here’s what we’re grateful for today!

I’m thankful to work with a team of people I thoroughly enjoy. They make me laugh and want to be here. They challenge me and each other to be better. They come up with crazy, great ideas. They take ownership and truly care about each other. This group of amazing people can accomplish whatever we set our minds to.

I’m thankful for my wife and our three wonderful daughters.

I’m thankful for our customers and our carriers who support us and all our goals, and I’m thankful for Connor’s cat desk which still makes me laugh every time I pass it.

I’m thankful for my family and friends. I feel like I have the best family and friends anyone can ask for. This was our third year at the pumpkin patch. With help from our family and friends, the pumpkin patch continues to grow. We have a ton of fun with it and could not do it without them.

I’m thankful for my family and for AM Transport. It means a lot to be able to work from home when I have a sick kid.

I’m thankful for the opportunity to live an extraordinary life alongside the people who mean the most to me. I try every day not to let FOMO kill my MOJO.

I’m “thankful” for the quality time I have been able to spend with my wife’s sister and her family while they have been living in our basement for the past four months during a home remodel. I’m also thankful they will be moving out this weekend!

I’m thankful that I get to work on the third floor at Carle Richland Memorial, and for my famous good looks.

I’m thankful for my family and for my friends.

This year I’m thankful to be a Bruncle (brother and uncle). My sister, Tara, who adopted me, recently had a baby girl who will be the main attraction at Thanksgiving dinner!

The sweet moments from my children when they say my name like they are going to ask me a question or ask me to do something, and all they say is, “I love you Mommy,” and follow it with a hug or a kiss.

My husband and his random surprises. . . whether it’s doing the dishes or a weekend getaway. I am thankful for him and all he does for our family.

        Jason Doris

I am thankful for my healthy family.

I am thankful for the network of people I am fortunate enough to call friends.

I am thankful for the many brewmasters who took a chance and began brewing the many different variations of IPAs.

I’m thankful for Baker Mayfield!

I’m very thankful for my wife, and of course, my children. The kids bring so much joy to our life, and my wife works so hard keeping our family sorted out and on track. She really is a supermom/wife/person.

Thankful to be happy and healthy. Grateful to be living in the beautiful state of Colorado and truly blessed with the best family and friends a girl could ask for.
