Meet the Team: Erik Jensen, CTB

The holidays are approaching, and it’s a great time to appreciate the past year. At AM Transport Services, we strive to offer the best outsourced logistics solutions to manufacturers in the midwest. And we are able to do that because of the great group of people who make up our team. This week, for our newest installment of Meet the Team, we talked with Erik Jensen.

Beer or wine?

This one is easy. Beer. I have too many favorites to name, but some of the standouts include Hopslam, Two Hearted, Heady Topper, any Revolution Brewing beer, and when I’m going for quantity, Budweiser.

Favorite Music?

Hip hop, but my taste is rapidly expanding. Hello Kacey Musgraves and Tyler Childers.

Favorite show?

You mean ever? Game of Thrones (even including last season). My wife and I just finished Fleabag, and I don’t have enough good things to say about it. Phoebe Waller Bridge is so incredibly talented it’s mind boggling (she also wrote Killing Eve which is another one of my favorites). I also recommend Watchmen if you’re into that kind of thing–and if you’re not, you’ll still probably like it.

Favorite Performer?

I’m not sure I can answer this without giving the Dallas Cowboys some love (I know they’re not that good, so stop with the jokes). I haven’t missed a game in years which has been a bad decision way too many times.

Married? Kids?

I’m married to an incredible woman, Hannah, and have a beautiful and crazy daughter, Grace. Both keep me smiling. I can’t imagine life without them.

If you could be any animal in the world, what would you be?

What? Why are these questions so hard? Being a lion would be pretty cool. You get to enjoy the other members of your pride and do whatever you want. The males don’t even have to hunt. What a life.

How long have you been in transportation and how did you end up working for AMT?

I’m getting ready to start my 7th year at AMT. Wow, that seems like a long time! I guess it is a quarter of my entire life! I began working here as an intern on Fridays during my last semester in college and was offered a position when I graduated. It all worked out pretty well for me, if I do say so myself!

How do you recharge?

I am someone who requires time to recharge. I just wish I could do it more often. I like to read, watch a good series on television, (there’s that beautiful Oxford Comma) and hang out with my family.
