Catching up with Dallas Racklin

Catching up with Dallas Racklin

11/04/2021
By Bridgett Jensen
Customer Service, Freight Broker, Meet the Team

Dallas Racklin joined the crew at AM Transport four years ago. A marketing major in college, Dallas helped shape AMT’s marketing strategy by creating digital marketing campaigns and boosting our presence on social media channels.

But recently, Dallas transitioned to operations as an account representative to help service and grow some of our existing accounts. We thought this might be a good time to help you get to know Dallas a little better in his new role, so we asked him a few questions.

You studied marketing in college, right? What about marketing intrigued you?

To be honest, I liked how easy it was. I just needed a degree and it seemed to be the easiest business degree to obtain.

Do you use any of the tools you used in marketing in your new role as an account rep?

I used LinkedIn occasionally, but that is about it!

What do you like about being an account representative?

I like being able to talk with people each day and to be a problem solver. We have several customers who come to us in emergencies for hot shipments, and there is nothing better than getting a truly good option back quickly.

Are you a football fan? If so, what’s your favorite team, and do you have any 2021/22 predictions?

Go Bucs! They don’t call it Champa Bay for nothing. Back to back champs coming up!

What’s your favorite aspect of the fall weather?

I love the changing colors and the cooler weather. Hoodies and bonfires are the best!

You’re a real dog lover; can you tell us a little bit about your dogs?

I have two dogs. One is a purebred Yellow Lab I got as a rescue when he was 13 months old. He is now four and thankfully not as hyper as he once was. He’s a big pond guy and loves running through my woods. I also rescued a Heeler mix in January named Hope. I was told Hope was a female, hence the name. I quickly discovered, though, that she was actually a he, but I was too committed to the name to change it. Hope loves having a big brother to terrorize and play with all day.

Don’t hesitate to reach out to Dallas if you’d like to know more about the variety of ways outsourcing your logistics to AM Transport Services can save you time and money. He’d love to help!
