Meet the team: Katrina Marshall
It’s a new year, and here at AM Transport we are excited to introduce you to our new team member, Katrina Marshall!
So Katrina, how did you end up working at AM Transport?
It was a magical journey filled with peril and adventure, but mostly emails. It all started when a wizard sent me a FB post saying this mighty band of warriors was looking for another swashbuckler to join a quest. Being of curious nature, I applied, and to my merriment I was accepted. Thus, the new adventure has begun!
And how long have you been working with this crew?
About a fortnight. I started 12/27/2021.
Did you have any experience in transportation?
I’ve worked a few places, and one of them was as a shipper scheduling flatbed and step deck loads. I really enjoyed that job, so I’m excited to get back into the transportation industry.
And what will you be doing at AMT?
I’ll be working as a customer service representative. I’ve learned so much just in the short time I’ve been here, and I’m looking forward to learning more and being part of the team.

What was the best Christmas gift you ever received?
My husband Logan made me a giant ruler to measure the kids’ height.
What’s the funniest thing that’s happened to you recently.
Spilling coffee within the first 2 hours of starting my new job.
I’m married to Logan, and we have two boys ages 10 and 14.
If someone gifted you an elephant, what would you do with it?
I would name her Rosie and let her sleep in my bed with her little stuffie named George and her own blanket which has a picture of us from when we went on our trip to Disney.
What are your thoughts on garden gnomes?
I support them; they deserve our respect. I don’t know anyone else who can pull off wearing that hat.
What’s your superpower?
You haven’t been here long, but is there anything you can’t imagine doing without at work?
Salesforce seems to be a pretty diverse and valuable tool. I can’t wait to see what all it can do.
How do you recharge after a long day or week at work?
After having a quiet moment to myself, hanging out with the family.
Do you have any book or television recommendations for our readers?
I have a hard time making the time to read, but I do audiobooks, podcasts, and streaming on my phone when I’m working on something. As for televisions shows, I recommend Community, Scrubs, The Office, Star Trek, Better off Ted (cancelled way too early), Firefly (also cancelled way too early, but at least they made a movie), and IT Crowd.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
“Eat your dessert first in case you choke on your meal.” ~My Dad
