Don’t Try to Solve Problems in the Middle of the Night

It’s the middle of the night, and something wakes you up.It’s spring, so maybe it’s a clap of thunder right before a flash of lightening illuminates your bedroom, maybe it’s your old dog barking at his shadow, maybe it’s teenagers laughing in the basement. Either way, you’re awake, and now you’re worried.

Did that hot load pick up? Did your assistant remember to get an appointment time for delivery? And what about the driver who called in before you left work? Did she make it? Was the freight accepted?

All the worries you kept at bay when you were heading to sleep are back, and so you grab your computer, and hopefully you can get updates. Because there’s one thing you know, your opportunity for sleep is over.

And you know what that means. Lots of coffee in the morning, and you’ll be dragging in the afternoon.
