Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you offer?

Full truckload services, job site & time sensitive projects, freight management, white glove LTL and, intermodal.

What geographic areas do you service?

We service the contiguous 48 states, Canada and Mexico.

What industries do you work in?

The primary industries we serve are Commercial Packaging, Food Grade, Automotive, Construction, and High Value. However, our team is equipped to handle any type of freight!

Do you use tracking software?

Yes, we do. In fact, we’re big fans of tracking and lead the industry in this area. We currently track 90% of all of our loads.

How do I get a quote on a lane?

We analyze your lanes. We talk to our preferred carriers (you know, the small to midsize carriers with fleets of less than 100 trucks) who run those lanes and like a particular type of freight. And then we talk to our data scientist who runs the numbers every day providing us with volume and capacity shifts in real-time. We factor in internal and true market data to generate a predictive rating. It’s fast, accurate, and pretty cool.

How do I become a carrier partner with AM Transport?

Becoming a carrier partner with AM Transport is easy, but the best way to start the process is to give us a call and talk to one of our friendly carrier managers. We want to learn as much about your operation as possible, so we can maximize our partnership and put you in the best possible situation moving forward. Relationships matter to us at AMT, and there is no better way to get one started than a nice conversation over the phone. Once the conversation is completed, and if the partnership makes sense for both sides, we’ll send over our quick and easy carrier packet. Once the packet is completed and the documents are verified, we’re ready to roll!

Will you pick me up and take me to the bus station in Effingham?

We are actually a 3PL provider, so we won’t be able to help you out there!

When will my couch arrive that I ordered on Amazon?

That’s a great question. Here is a page that may help https://amzn.to/2Sgh74B

What do you guys do?

We are a third party logistics provider (a 3PL). That means we’re in the business of helping customers get their freight from origin to destination.

How many trucks do you have?

We actually don’t own trucks. We are non-asset based 3PL provider.

What is the pickup/delivery ETA?

Great question. Call us at 800-395-4881 for the quick answer!

Where can I file a complaint about one of your drivers almost running me off the road?

That sounds terrible, and we’re sorry to hear it. But A.M. Transport Services, Inc. is a non-asset based 3PL. This means we don’t own any trucks or employ any drivers. There are a few carriers with similar names you may want to check out.
